Goose egg

This isn’t the first time she’s done this, and it isn’t even the worst one she’s done, but I sure do feel sorry for her when it happens.

The first time something like this happened, we were up camping and it was twice as big. I called up the nurse crying, wondering if I should take her straight to the ER or just go to the clinic. The nurse told me to wait and watch. That even though it looked bad, there was nothing they could do unless something was actually wrong.

While up camping (last year) Amanda ran straight into a thin metal tray sticking out of the BBQ. It was actually pretty comedic to see. She ran in to it with a sudden stop and then feel straight over backwards. We can laugh about it now cause she survived, but it wasn’t funny when it happened.

This time, she was walking out of the bathroom and her foot or something got caught and she fell forward and bonked her head on the door jam.

These pictures don’t do it justice.

Sure she’s smiling now, after tons of hugs and comfort… and ice!

It amazes me how resilient kids are!  I’m thankful for that or all my kids would probably be dead.

  1. Ouchie, i hate when they get head injuries, and you look so pretty in that picture..
