Today Ashley and Eden started school.

Summer was over waaaaay too soon!  But we had tons of fun these last few months.

They were super excited and kinda nervous.  I remember I couldn’t sleep the night before school would start and I would be so excited and nervous that by the time I got home that first day I was exhausted.  I hope they’re having a wonderful day!

Here’s Eden sporting her “Sweet as a Cupcake” outfit.

She’s doing the English/Mandarin again this year!

Second grade!

Here’s Ashley wearing her “Nerd is the Word” shirt.

Ashley was soooo ready for school to start.

Fifth grade!

Good grief these kids grow fast!

Pink and White

I have a sweet little niece who’s birthday is coming up!

So I made her this…

You clip bows and flowers for your hair onto the ribbons that hang down or on the ribbon going across the bodice.  A cute way to organize all those hair accessories that come with having a little girl.

Oh, and the decorative flowers on it are actually a hair clip!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Monday Moments #33…on Tuesday…night

Sorry this post is late.  We’ve been summering!

Last Thursday we headed to St. George to see “The Little Mermaid” at Tuacahn.  The girls and Paul had never been before.

Here’s a scary site from our drive.

Friday morning we hit the local DI and then headed over to the temple to walk around.

We went swimming that afternoon.  Then after dinner we headed to Tuacahn.  Beautiful red rocks!

They don’t allow pictures of the actual show, so here we are enjoying a pre-show on a smaller stage.

After the pre-show they let the kids go up and play on the stage.

Eden danced.

The show was really awesome!  They flooded the stage several time over and it ‘rained’ a whole bunch too, that’s how they differentiated between land and ocean.

During the song ‘Under the Sea’ some of the characters when out into the audience.  A starfish sat down right next to Eden and started talking to her about ocean life and then he gave Ashley a high-five!  I think that was the highlight of the show for them.

They really did an amazing job!

We got back to the hotel at 12:30 that night, but we were up and out the door by 8:30 the next morning so we could hike around Snow Canyon before the heat of the day set in.

Gorgeous place!

We got out and hiked Jenny’s Canyon trail.

Drove around for a bit.

Then we hiked the Pioneer Names trail.  At the end of the hike up on the side of the mountain were names of Pioneers who wrote their names in axel wheel grease.

Can you see Paul and Eden?

Can you see Ashley and Paul?

It was too hard of a climb for Mandy, so she stayed with me.

And that was our weekend!

We’re kinda feeling the summer crunch around here since school starts for Ashley and Eden on Monday.  So we’re trying to cramp more stuff in this week.
