Monday Moments #37… late again

Hello everyone!

This is another late Monday Moments.  But at least I got to it.

Amanda drew a darling picture!

A cute girl froggy!  With a long skinny balloon for the tongue!

But what’s super cute is that Amanda put tape on the butterfly so the tongue can stick to it!

So now, whenever Amanda eats her meals, she runs over and sticks the frog’s tongue on the butterfly so the frog can eat too!

I have no clue how she came up with that idea, but isn’t it super cute!!!

On a different topic, our girls were talking about how sometimes they are afraid of the dark.  Paul and I were listening to them and I was thinking to myself that I would talk to them about how there’s really nothing to be afraid of in the dark.  But before I started talking, Paul joined in the conversation and said…

Paul:  “Hey girls, you want to know why it gets light when I get up?”

Girls:  “Why?”

Paul:  “Because the DARK is AFRAID of ME!”

I thought it was hilarious, but I think it made a difference for our girls to think of it that way.  I love the way my husband approches things like that.

Monday Moments #36

I totally spaced posting yesterday!  I kept thinking it was Saturday.  Duh!

Last week the girls started dance class!

Here’s Mandy, all ready to go!

Eden

Don’t you just love that face!?!  (below)

Ashley

Ashley donated her hair again.  She wanted her hair cut anyway.  We didn’t know it was long enough to donate, but Kara measured it and it was more than long enough.  Ashley donated her hair less than 3 years ago!  Wow her hair grows fast!  I was sad to see it chopped off.  Her hair is so beautiful long.  We curled it in ringlets for her last full day of long hair.

Have a great week everyone!

What a sad/ happy day!

Today is Amanda’s first day of Kindergarten.  She was so super excited to go!

I on the other hand have mixed feelings about this.  You know when you have a house full or little kids always wanting your attention, you sometimes daydream about the day when all your kids will be in school and you’ll have a few hours to yourself, finally!  You never think that!?!  Well, I used to think about it a lot when my kids were younger.

Now that it’s here, I don’t know what to think.

I know several of you out there have no sympathy for me.  But really, I thought I’d be super excited for this day to come.  Now that it’s here, I really miss my kids!

I cried when I got to the car, after dropping Amanda off.  She was so ready to go.  She’s gotten so big in her 5 years of life.  It’s so sad to see your own kids grow up and not need you as much anymore.

Here’s Amanda sporting her strawberry outfit and her princess backpack!

Amanda looked so big, until I saw some of her classmates!  Some of the kids are already 6 years old and will be turning 7 before the end of the school year.  She looked so small next to them.

So, what did I do while all my kids were at school!?!  I exercised a while, now I’m blogging and once done with this, I’ll drive up to the school early and exercise some more!  I won’t be exercising everyday, but most days I’ll try to for at least a bit.  There’s also cleaning, de-cluttering, crafting, sewing, weeding, shopping, and I’m sure every once in awhile I might go back to bed!

For those of you with little ones still at home, who may be daydreaming of all their kids being in school.  Don’t wish for it too much, these kids grow up way too fast.

Have a great week everyone!
